About Us

Tonto Gravity Riders is a grassroots 501(c)3 Non-Profit organization born with the mission to provide volunteer resources to ease the burden of maintenance of the Pinal Mountain Trail System for the Tonto National Forest.

Who Are We

We are a large group of dedicated outdoor enthusiasts that share a passion to better the user experience for those that crave just a little more. Of course, we are also mountain bikers as well.

Our group consists of a large core of highly experienced trail volunteers who have worked on many projects throughout the state. Many of us have been working together for over a decade now and it shows in our work! Sustainability is #1.

We all share a vision for the great recreational possibilities that await all user groups, especially mountain bikers within the Pinal Mountains by providing the resources needed to restore, maintain and help re-develop the Pinal Mountain Trail System.

Our Mission

Tonto Gravity Riders (TGR) is a 501(c)3 non-profit grassroots organization with a mission to provide volunteer resources to ease the burden of maintenance of the Pinal Mountain Trail System for the Tonto National Forest. Also, TGR promotes and advances safe and environmentally responsible mountain biking opportunities for all skill levels, also known as sustainable mountain biking.

TGR's mission will be accomplished by serving as ambassadors of the sport, by organizing public trail maintenance days and providing the much needed volunteer power for trail maintenance, establishing a communication link between the mountain biking community and the Globe Ranger District and supporting the US Forest Service in their sustainable recreation mission.

TGR will seek and rely on volunteer support from the public and public donations to help us reach its goals.
